Cleveland's planned subway was never built. There are several light rail lines and a heavy rail line that run through a central train terminal (with the mid-20th century cars finally being replaced by a uniform set of Siemens trains in 2027), but underfunding for transit in favor of highways, and resulting sprawl make a subway unlikely in our lifetimes.
